All those of you who are applying for the English Honours course in DU, there’s some exciting news for you guys. You’ll now be studying Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone as part of your course material!

Don’t know if we’re overly excited about this or not, but yeah, it’s happening people! The man’s got some hot sellers like One Night At A Call Centre, Half Girlfriend, 2 States and Three Mistakes Of My Life, and now this Gen-X kinda literature is gonna be part of the curriculum.

Bhagat’s Five Point Someone will be in the company of fiction novels by American novelist and poet Louisa M Alcott, English crime novelist Dame Agatha Christie and British novelist JK Rowling. Five Point Someone is part of the Popular Fiction paper in the General Elective, which is offered to second-year undergraduate students pursuing honours and programme courses under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS).

Don’t really know how this novel creeped into the list of such other illustrious ones, but eh, we’re sure the students will learn something from it!
