NMCG Recently Conducted A Cleaning Drive At The Kalindi Kunj Ghat & This Is A Great Move
We often crib about the sad plight of the river Yamuna in Delhi, right? Well, there was recently a cleaning drive conducted on the Kalindi Kunj Ghat - read on for all the deets!
Here’s To More Such Initiatives | The National Mission For Clean Ganga (NMCG) has adopted the Kalindi Kunja Ghat and came together along with other agencies to clean up the ghat on Sunday, the 7th of April. Landscaping the area and greening of the river bank may also be in the pipeline, which is awesome.
Along with the landscape architects who have previously worked on beautifying the various Ganga ghats, they will now be laying out plans for rejuvenating Kalindi Kunj Ghat as well. Did you know this is a major river bank of the Yamuna that receives a massive volume of pollutants from Okhla? Yep, which is why this cleaning drive is more than welcome.
Hoping to see more such drives in the future!
