DelhiNew Metro Corridor To Connect Delhi’s IGI Airport & Noida International Airport At Jewar
Travelling to and fro from the IGI Airport to Noida’s new International Airport might soon become pretty convenient. We just heard the news that a new metro corridor has been proposed that’ll connect the Shivaji Stadium Metro Station on the DMRC’s Airport Express Line and is likely to pass through Greater Noida’s Pari Chowk to reach the airport in Jewar! Connecting For Convenience | The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Thursday signed an MoU with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to prepare a report on the feasibility of building a Metro corridor between Delhi’s IGI Airport and the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar, to provide direct connectivity.
This corridor is expected to start at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station on the Airport Express Line and is expected to pass through Greater Noida’s Pari Chowk to reach the airport in Jewar. The officials are tasked with preparing a feasibility report for the corridor that is supposed to be built in 2 phases and the construction on the 35.64 km Metro project will begin after nine months and is expected to be ready by 2024.
