Nehru Place & Bhikaji Cama Place Likely To Get Skywalks, An Amphitheatre, Parking Lots & More

Hola Delhizens! We’re back with some interesting news about the city. So keep reading as two major areas in apni Dilli are up for a makeover!

What’s Going On? | So two important areas in Delhi - Nehru Place Market and Bhikaji Cama Place - are up for a revamp and some really awesome features are set to be added to Nehru Place like a skywalk (woah), an amphitheatre, an automated parking lot, exhibition halls, recreational areas and lots more cool stuff!

And as far as Bhikaji Cama Place is concerned, you’ll soon see escalators, a multi-level parking lot and recreational spaces added to the area. Pretty cool, eh?

Nehru Place has really become one of our fave hangout spots, what with Epicuria and other awesome eateries and cinema halls dotting the area. With three metros stations around - Nehru Place and Kalkaji on the Violet Line and Nehru Place Enclave on the Magenta Line - this region has become all the more accessible in terms of connectivity. The new facelift plan aims to provide pedestrian access to the Nehru Place Market from all three metro stations! The skywalk will connect the market to the Nehru Place Metro Station, so that people don’t have to cross the busy road.

There will also be pickup and drop-off zones along the Outer Ring Road, which will also be disabled-friendly. That’s pretty cool! An amphitheatre with a huge LED screen will also be constructed inside the market for cultural events and more.

Well, there’s a lot going on in the city and we can’t wait to see these two places in all their newfound glory soon!
