NDMC Has Banned All Rooftop Parties In CP & Khan Mkt, So R.I.P. Delhi's Winter Party Scene

Looks like Delhi’s nightlife is really in for a sad scene! After what happened in a Mumbai terrace party where a dozen people died because of a fire, NDMC is taking strict decisions about Delhi too! 

NDMC is putting a ban on the rooftop parties in all of Lutyens Delhi! Yes, so not only does this apply to the bars and restaurants in upscale markets like Connaught Place and Khan Market, but also to the clubs and cultural centres in the New Delhi area. DAMN! 

There Should Be A Ban On The Word ‘Ban’ | An immediate ban has been put on rooftop parties in the posh localities of Khan Market and CP and personally, we’re shaking our heads in disbelief!

Plus, get this - not only has the ban been put on bars and restaurants from serving food and alcohol on the rooftops, but even to houses in Lutyens Delhi, which will soon be broken and reconstructed as having lower heights! 

With the ban on pubs and restaurants, there’s also an immediate ban in place for clubs and cultural centres in the same area from having any rooftop gatherings! Uh-oh! 

Restaurant and bar owners must abide by the trade license conditions, and any infraction will lead to cancellation of their license! Yes, that’s how serious this is. 

Looks like we’ll have to find some other places to party at now, else keep ‘em indoors and not on rooftops!
