The urge to save our Indian art & culture is rising day by day, evidencing the diminishing demand. Since, government plays a major role, to escalate the dying culture, the Ministry Of Culture has come up with a new scheme to promote art & culture. Here’s all about it.
Save The Dying Art & Culture | To promote art & culture and sharpen the skills of existing artists, the ministry has come up with 3 different schemes for different age groups and categories of artists. They have schemes for beginners ranging between the age of 18-25, who will receive Rs 5,000 per month for two years. In this, 400 artists will be selected for the fellowship.
There’s also a mid-range separate scheme for artists who some experience in the field of art. This will be divided into 2 categories - senior and junior, who’ll receive Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. The third one, named Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research is the top on the pyramid with 40 artists, carefully selected and divided into scholars and fellows.
The scholars will receive a sum of Rs 50,000 per month while the fellows will receive Rs 80,000 for their work. You can check out all the details on the Govt.’s website and get yourselves enrolled.
