DelhiMillions Of Locusts Can Enter Delhi If Wind Patterns Change & It Feels Like Jumanji Just Got Real
Swarms of Locusts (a species of grasshopper) flying over the city sounds like a nightmare, doesn’t it? Well, this is actually happening in Rajasthan amongst other cities and if the wind speed changes they could even reach Delhi *shrieks in disgust*.
Coming Up Next, Swarms Of Flies?! | You must have read that massive swarms of desert locusts are flying over Rajsthan at the moment which is one of the badly affected states in the country. Other states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are currently witnessing active locust infestation. But Delhizens, these might just find its way to our city as well!
Yes, according to experts if the wind speeds change then these swarms which are currently headed towards Dausa and Karauli in Rajasthan, may move towards Delhi. This could be devastating for Delhi as the green vegetation in the city (including trees and plants in the parks) can be destroyed by these insects!
Sounds like someone just rolled dice in this real-life Jumanji, but on a serious note, let’s hope we get over this situation quickly. Till then stay home, stay safe!
