MCD's Putting Up Water ATMs In The Next 90 Days To Provide Easy Access To Safe Drinking Water!

To make sure that people get access to clean drinking water more easily now at busy markets and public places, the Municipal Corporation is working towards creating water ATMs in these places! NICE.

Both North and East Delhi Municipal Corporation have approved the plan to install 200 water ATMs and are now finalising the spots for the same. 

The machines are expected to come up at busy market places with high footfall. Kamla Nagar, Gaffar Market (Karol Bagh), Model Town, Paschim Vihar, Pitampura in North Delhi and Vikas Marg, Geeta Colony, Shahdara (old market), Mayur Vihar and Anand Vihar in East Delhi may get these machines.

As part of a pilot project, one ATM was installed in Defence Colony where for 2 bucks you would get 250 ml of water in a paper glass, which is pretty awesome! 

So within 90 days, these ATMs should be installed and we’re super excited!
