Goa plan just got canned for the umpteenth time? We feel ya, mate. Unfortunately, for a lot of us, work often gets in the way of a long, leisurely stroll in the sand. For all you workaholics who just can't schedule in a getaway right now, we've put together the next best thing – a list of the best beach cafes in town that've blown their competition outta the water!

With themed décor reminiscent of pensive evenings by the sea (or psychedelic party shacks!), mouth-watering seafood, and tranquil vibes, here's where to head to for a taste of the beachy life: 

1. Lady Baga 

Lady Baga is bound to transports you to hippie heaven circa the 70s. Kaleidoscopic interiors with giant dream catchers, groovy lights, trippy wall art and comfy mattresses make you feel like you're aboard a party van that's just about to take off! You can go be a beach bum at a section with massive screens that play nothing but visuals of the beach with (real) sand beneath your feet! 
The food includes hearty Goan specials like Crispy Fried Bombil, Butter Garlic Prawns, Clam and Bacon Risotto and breakfast till 8 PM! The cocktails are a bomb too, and just the thing to drown your workday sorrows in. Lady B has gifted us a little piece of Goa in Delhi and we can't wait to get the party started!

2. Tabula Beach Cafe 

Al fresco seating surrounded by greenery, shack-style wicker furniture, roomy couches and a hammock or two thrown in – Tabula Beach is the best place to let your hair down away from the crowded hubs of the city! Known for its totally LIT Ladies Nights, live music and some fabulous fusion cocktails, bookmark it if you've got some catching up to do over drinks and gourmet coastal food.  

The indoor area swaps the beach theme for a classy vibe, well-stocked bar, and a dance floor (much like a regular club) where every hour is happy hour! TBC is not easy on the pocket, but a visit here will definitely be the highlight of your week. 

P.S. - Tabula Beach is dog-friendly from Mon-Sat, 12 - 5 PM!

3. The Feast House 

A unique concept that offers a bouquet of themes for you to choose from, The Feast House also has a homely beach section, which is done up in sea hues with minimalistic wicker lamps and life-sized surf boards on the wall! The pristine whites make the place appear spacious and inviting and the overall theme exudes an air of freshness and calm. Although the menu doesn't really reflect the beach theme, the Fried Fish and the frothy freakshakes here are just ah-mazing!

4. Hinglish : Cafe, Beach Bar 

Nestled at the entrance of the always crowded Pacific mall, Hinglish : Cafe, Beach Bar will give you all those beachy vibes, right here in Delhi. You’d spot cutesy, li’l shacks, anchors and ship wallpapers and huge comfy seats where you can lounge while chilling with your buddies! 

Order in one of their amazing chilled mocktails or shakes and devour the delicious Anglo-Indian Potato and Cashewnut Curry or the Prawn Red Thai Curry and chill like a beach bum here!

5. By The Bay

A super warm and cozy place during the day that turns into a happening party place by the evening, this place has all our attention these days. About to open on the 6th of June in GTB Nagar, this one will be featuring some kick ass live music evenings that’ll be best accompanied with their chiller Pina Coladas (already mentally chuggin RN).
