DelhiBooze To Become Cheaper In Delhi But Not Like The Pre-COVID Times
This Is A Representative Image
A couple of days ago we heard that the Delhi Government has decided to remove ‘The Special Corona Fee’ levied on the sale of liquor. However, the prices won’t revert back to those prevailing during the pre-COVID times.
Not Going Back Any Time Soon! | So, the Delhi Government has now decided to increase the Value Added Tax (VAT) on all categories of liquor from 20% to 25%. This means that the price of booze in the city will rise and won’t return to those prevailing during the pre-COVID times. The 70% Special Corona Fees will be removed with effect from 10th June.
Apart from Delhi, states like Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal had also imposed similar cess.
Looks like indulgence will now cost a little more!
