Gurgaon's Answer To Central Park, Come Take A Jog Through Leisure Valley Park

Located right opposite the Kingdom of Dreams, within walking distance from the IFFCO Chowk Metro Station, Leisure Valley Park is Gurgaon’s most happening park/garden. It’s a very popular picnic spot, a regular jogging track and exercise ground and so much more. It’s pretty massive and very well-maintained. Come follow us!

Beautiful Entrances

The garden has three main entrances: the main one being the one in front of the big parking lot, one from a peaceful back lane and the other near the Kingdom of Dreams entrance. The first one is well decorated and has a statue of an elephant welcoming you in. The second one is close to the fountains, while the third one opens up to Roots Café and the play area that has been constructed for children.

A Multi-Purpose Destination

Leisure Valley is much more than just a picnic spot. There’s a lot of fitness activity taking place in the morning hours, with locals using this space as a jogging track; a sandy area has been developed near one entrance that has a lot of swings and slides for children; Roots Café, that runs entirely on solar power is famous for its simple, home-like food and in the afternoons, Leisure Valley is flocked by lovebirds and drivers of nearby office complexes who come here for their lunch and afternoon nap.

Restricted Beauty

Close to the main entrance is a very pretty flower garden, entry into which is prohibited. This enclosure has a variety of colourful flowers planted in neat rectangular blocks which have been labelled. One can admire them from the other side of the fence as the guards won’t let you enter but they look quite beautiful even from a distance. If you ever happen to come here during spring, you won’t be able to take your eyes off them!

Elephants Standing Guard

The latest addition to this park/garden is its marble elephants. You will spot one wherever you go and they’ve mostly been placed in pairs. They are very white and carefully designed but they’re everywhere, the purpose of which one completely fails to understand.

Cute Little Sitting Spots

When you see the first one, you’ll definitely want a closer look and you’d surely like the idea: it’s a regular bench, enclosed by a structure of creepers on three sides and there are so many of these. These creepers not only make it look good, they give you a sense of privacy and also help beat the heat to an extent. There are many other normal benches scattered all over the garden with a couple of clusters as well that have a number of benches placed quite close to each other and the entire cluster is covered by a transparent (meshed) dome with plants growing over it so as to give you a green cover. There is only one negative aspect about this place i.e. the musical fountain is mostly off and the few times when it’s working, there’s no music.

So whether you want half an hour of solitude or would like to work out amidst nature, Leisure Valley is your little oasis in the Millennium City!
