Lajpat Nagar Gets A New Multi-Level 'Puzzle Parking' Designed To Accommodate 246 Cars!

Delhi peeps, we’ve some great news for y’all that is surely going to make you jump up and weep in joy! Lajpat Nagar, our favourite shopping destination, is getting a new multi-level parking space that can accommodate upto 246 cars at one time. No more struggling to get the last parking spots, y’all! No More Road Congestion? | We’re all aware of how bad the road situation had been around our beloved Lajpat Nagar Market and the only thing that had acted as a deterrent for us to come down and shop away to our heart’s content was the flabbergasting road situation around the area. 

Not anymore, peeps! The South Delhi Municipal Corporation just inaugurated an automated multilevel puzzle car parking for 264 cars on Saturday. The facility spreads over 978 square metres and was built at a cost of ₹27.18 crores. The parking has 6 levels, of which the first four can fit cars both horizontally and vertically, thus giving it the name “puzzle” parking. The top two floors can shift cars only vertically.

The car parking facility is situated at Firoz Gandhi Marg in Lajpat Nagar III area and from this day forth is open to the public. It has also been stated by the authorities in SDMC that people will be able to retrieve their cars from the facility within a span of 150 seconds, whereas in a traditionally-designed facility, it takes nearly 15 minutes to do the same.
