Kudos To The Govt. For Providing Free Food To The Homeless At 10 Shelters In Delhi

The Delhi Government just started an all new service which provides 3 free meals to 10 different shelter homes under Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board! We're happy to hear about such a good deed and thought of sharing this with y'all!

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Delhi urban development minister Satyendra Jain launched the initiative of providing 3 meals per day by serving food to the needy at the Dandi Park shelter in North Delhi.

The initiative has been launched in order to protect the poor from the impact of the ongoing demonetization exercise that has led to many people dying in bank queues.

The shelters near which these food centres will operate include one each at Geeta Ghat, Yamuna Pushta, Dandi Park, Jama Masjid, Sarai Kale Khan, Nizamuddin Nila Gumbad, Sarai Phoos, Jhandewalan shelter 1, Kotla Mubarakpur and Fatehpuri near Old Delhi railways station.

Well done to the Government and we definitely could do with more such initiatives!
