Kudos! Former UN Secretary Kofi Annan Praises AAP's Mohalla Clinics Initiative
A majority of people in India do not have access to medical treatment, and those who do don’t get it in time because they have to travel far to get to the nearest clinic or they can’t afford it. Thus, Former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has publically praised and applauded the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government’s mohalla clinics initiative for providing free primary healthcare! AWESOME!
As recorded in August 2016, these guys have come up with 108 clinics where about 8 lakh people had been treated over a period of 5 months! They aim to open at least 1,000 clinics in total in various small mohallas to help more and more people in need of medical treatment. But due to land acquisition problems, their aim to make 1,000 of them hasn’t been met yet!
It’s a great concept and we surely hope that it does well!
