Khan Market Is Partially Open & Traders Want It To Be Recognised As A Neighbourhood Market
Hello, Delhiites! You guys know that slowly but steadily several shops are now opening in the city, right? Well, here’s what’s happening at our beloved Khan Market.
Now, Partially Open! | Known as India’s most expensive retail location, Khan Market is now open but the market association now wants it to be recognised as a neighbourhood market. Only a few handful of shops have opened in this market for limited customers. For instance, the popular Bahrison Booksellers opened up by allowing not more than 3 customers in a day, optical stores like Dayal Opticals & Drishti Platinum have also opened their shutters and smaller stores like Nirvana Being (amongst others) which deals in masks and air purifiers have also opened.
The market association has however submitted a proposal wherein they mentioned that since all the clubs and restaurants are closed, the customers might not stay for more than 15 minutes and that everyone will have to park their cars outside the market and walk through a UV tunnel for disinfection where nursing staff will check their temperatures. This market sees most of its customers from Kaka Nagar and Bharti Nagar.
What do you think about this development?
