Kashmiri Haat Opposite Dilli Haat Ensures You Score Pretty Kashmiri Finds All Year Round!

Located right opposite Dilli Haat is a Kashmiri miniature called the Kashmiri Haat! The haunt looks like a really humble one, but well, all good things do indeed come in small packages. Not able to resist our bubbling curiosity to check it out, we shimmied our way here. 

Reaching the place is a cakewalk as it's located bang outside INA Metro Station. At first, we thought it was an extended part of Dilli Haat left alone for people to discover by themselves. Unlike the renowned Dilli Haat, Kashmiri Haat is a relatively new and much smaller place and might we add - holds precious finds!

Dilli Haat gives you the essence of the entire country as a whole. However, Kashmiri Haat essentially houses the true spirit of Kashmir. Let’s take you on a virtual tour now, shall we?!

What's In Store | The moment you step into Kashmiri Haat, you see shades of green everywhere. The place is nothing but a single lane with shops on the right side and a wall on the left. All the shops have one thing in common - all of them offer Kashmir-centric products. Be it cutesy paper mache baubles or the Kashmiri kahwa mix *starry eyed*, be it pashmina shawls or the quintessential Kashmiri jewels, woollen phirans to thick jackets, it’s a paradise-land y’all! If you look closely, you’ll also come across a few shops selling pretty brass bits and baubles to festoon your home with. 

The jewellery and the tea shop in particular were the ones that caught our attention, and it turns out that all their wares can be picked up for damn reasonable prices too! A neckpiece would cost you 100 bucks (ONLY) and a bag full of Kashmiri Kahwa Tea would cost you Rs 150. Woah! 

What We Loved | We can't deny how happy we were to have discovered this mini Kashmir, for now we can shop for woollens & authentic Kashmiri kawah all year round. So when you have to stock up on pashmina shawls and tibetan woollens, head here without a second thought! The best part is that at the end of the shops lane is a restaurant where you can put your feet up and relax after your shopping spree! The eatery serves both continental food and some Kashmir-centric drinks like Kahwa or Saffron Milk. 

In a nutshell, Kashmiri Haat is a slice of beautiful Kashmir alive and thriving in Delhi. Though it’s much smaller in size as compared to the humongous & well established Dilli Haat, but still retains the essence of the land of paradise that Kashmir is. Come swing by!
