Kashmere Gate Metro Station Will Be More Than Double The Size Of Rajiv Chowk

Listen up metro users, soon Kashmere Gate Metro Station will be the biggest inter-change metro station! If we talk about the entire area, this metro station will be spread across 11,000 sq. metres! WOAH! 

With a size 3 times of the already biggest metro station, Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate Metro station will finally be big enough to hold the very many passengers that travel to and fro from there everyday! 

The Kashmere Gate Metro station, with 3 interchanges, will be more than double the size of the busy Rajiv Chowk station in Connaught Place. When Delhi Metro’s Phase-III project is commissioned, the Rajiv Chowk station, which at present has a footfall of five lakh, will see a reverse trend. Its ridership will see a decline with availability of several alternative routes.

On the other hand, the footfall at the Kashmere Gate metro station will surely spike up as people would get to travel between Escorts Mujesar and Jama Masjid, Dilshad Garden-Rithala and HUDA City Centre-Samaypur Badli.
