We eagerly await February each year, for it brings us our beloved, ages-old Surajkund Mela! The annual cultural fest has never ceased to surprise us with its exciting crafts and stalls every.single.time this time it’s back with their big 31st edition!

This 15-day-long event has a bunch of things planned out for visitors, like some great artwork involving paintings, wood stock, textiles, pottery, ivory work (wow!), stonework, terracotta and grass work all highlighting the various cultures of different states. Along with artwork, you’ll also find delicious food from all the different states showcased here, plus some interesting plays too!

What To Look Forward To This Year | This year round, Egypt’s the partner country and Jharkhand is the theme state, and hence the main entrance will be decorated like the Maluti Temple and the other smaller entrances will be based on themes like Chhau Dance, Jharkhand’s special Itkhori tourist site, Dokra art and the Rajrappa Temple. There are about 1,000 stalls there for you to shop and eat from, and hey fret not, the cashless system is being encouraged here too! A bunch of POS machines have been installed here, for your convenience.
