#InTheSpotlight: Aanchal Malhotra, Insta's Historian Who Gives a Beautiful Glimpse of The Partition

Aanchal Malhotra is an artist, writer and oral historian from Delhi. She received a MFA in studio art from Concordia University, Montreal. Her thesis project ‘Remnants of a Separation’ is the first and only study of the material remains of the Partition of India in 1947.

With 9,871 followers (as on 24th August 2016) this Delhi girl has made a huge place in everyone’s heart with her thought provoking captions and images! 

Her projects show a notion of cultural diaspora, withdrawing from or belonging to a particular place, collective experience and the importance of family history and genealogy.
