India's Upcoming Fastest Train RRTS Is Gonna Have A Business Class So You Can Travel In Style
Delhizens, have you heard about the new Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) that is soon gonna approach the city? Well, RRTS is India’s first-of-its-kind public transport system and it’s starting in Delhi! Another reason to boast about the city, isn’t it?
Here’s More About The RRTS | This newbie and awesome public transport system will have a business class section, where the ticket will (obviously) be costlier than that of the general class! Great, isn’t it? The idea is to make the affluent section of the city use public transport system rather than their cars. And we think it’s gonna work!
Commuters will be able to access this business coach via a separate lounge on the platform, which’ll have gates for people to board the rapid rail. While all the general coaches will be air-conditioned, with a seating arrangement of 2x2, the business coach will have a arrangement of 2x3. And you may find the business coach at the end of the rapid rail as the first one is likely to be reserved for women.
And guess what? The RRTS will be faster than any other train of the Indian Railways with a speed of 180 kmph! So you can travel within Delhi NCR in absolutely no time. This is super awesome! Also, the north-south corridor of the Meerut Metro will be integrated with the rapid rail so that we commuters can change for the metro or the rapid rail from a single platform.
The upcoming RRTS will have eight corridors, out of which three have been prioritised which are Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut, Delhi-Panipat and Delhi-Alwar. The construction of the first corridor is likely to start by the end of July and become operational by 2023.
And here’s another good thing about the RRTS. it will integrate with other modes of transport as well, like intercity bus terminals, airports, metros of different cities and Indian Railway stations.
This sure looks like good news and we can’t wait to travel to adjoining cities in UP from Delhi in a jiffy! Yayy!
