India's First Green & Access-Controlled 6-Lane Expressway Will Ease Traffic B/W Noida & FBad

Bookmark

Delhi’s traffic has been an issue since forever for us, and come 2018, there’s still no improvement! But finally, The Union Ministry for Road Transport and Highways is all set to develop a 135-km-long Eastern Peripheral Expressway which will throw open a lot of congestion free routes for us.

What’s Happening | This new expressway will ensure free and rapid connectivity between Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gautam Budh Nagar (Greater Noida) and Palwal. The National Highways Authority of India is dealing with a few clearance issues as of now, but they do plan on opening this expressway by the end of this month! FINALLY!

This project is India’s first smart, green and access-controlled six-lane expressway. It will direct at least 2 lakh vehicles passing through the national capital and not only will the traffic get way better, but even pollution will die down a little.

This expressway will have some of the best technology that we’ve ever seen on Delhi roads. Highway Traffic Management Systems, video incident detection system and a closed tolling system, which collects tolls based on the distance travelled, and not the entire length of the road. This sounds pretty awesome to us!

Can’t wait for this expressway to be launched!
