India’s 1st Ever Taxi Ambulance Launched In Delhi For Emergency Aid To All Road Accident Victims

With the number of road accidents in the city reaching alarming heights, there’s a sore need for rapid, timely access to medical treatment. And we come bearing some news which might come as great relief to all you Delhizens. Read on and find out!

Taxi Ambulance At Your Beck And Call | India’s first taxi ambulance was flagged off in the Delhi NCR region! And we feel this is a great move! Gurgaon-based Wagon Cabs are gonna extend this much-needed emergency service, and here’s how they’ll help - this initiative will help road accident victims reach the hospital on time, and they’ll also get immediate medical help in emergency situations, which is may prove crucial to saving lives. Awesome!

The drivers, who have been trained to deal with medical emergencies, will approach the victim as soon as they’re notified about any mishap. For every victim they help, they’ll receive Rs 500 over and above their regular salary. However, these cabs don’t have emergency medical equipment like oxygen cylinders. 

Currently, there are about 200 taxi ambulances on the road and the service is limited to the Delhi NCR region. If these pilot services are successful, the service may be extended to other cities as well.
