Indian Railways Cancels All Regular Trains Till Mid-August And Here's What It Means For You

Hello, Delhizens! It was recently announced that train services which were earlier suspended till the 30th of June will now be suspended till the 12th of August. This means all regular passenger trains including mail express, passenger and suburban services will remain suspended until this date. So, here’s what it means for us now - 

1. All tickets that have been booked for journeys between the 1st of July and the 12th of August now stand cancelled.

2. Special trains such as the Shramik Special trains will continue to function.

3. People who had booked their tickets online will automatically get a refund in their accounts. 

4. Passengers will be informed and bookings will start when the decision is taken about the same. 

5. For those passengers who purchased their tickets from the railway counters, they can get it refunded within the next six months (from the date of journey). 

6. Tickets which were booked on or before the 14th of April have now been cancelled and refunds will soon be initiated. 

7. Besides 230 special trains, there are more that will soon be added to this list which will later be announced.
