India To Get Its First High Speed RRTS Corridor That Will Connect Delhi & Meerut By 2025!

Bookmark

Delhi is witnessing the foundation of some futuristic and high tech infrastructure plans and developments these days, and we’re sure that in few years, we might just see a completely changed, efficient, and modernised version of saadi Delhi, that we cannot wait to witness. In a similar spirit, Delhi has also begun the construction of its 1st RRTS corridor and here are all the deets!

India’s First | That’s right people, not only Delhi’s but also India’s 1st Rapid Regional Transit System or RRTS corridor is being constructed in NCR by National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Like some of you might already know, this RRTS corridor is gonna be 3 times faster than the metro and will cater to a longer distance with fewer stops.

The 82-km-long Delhi-Meerut RRTS will pass through the median of the Delhi-Meerut road. Out of the total 82 km, a total of 70 km stretch of the corridor is elevated and crosses over rivers, bridges, rail crossings, metro corridors, and to bridge over these gaps, the project will see the use of ‘special spans.’

The entire project should hopefully see completion by 2025, and we can’t wait to experience this advanced & high-speed corridor! What do you think?
