India To Get Its First Green Electric Highway Soon Betweeen Delhi & Jaipur!

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, shared a piece of exciting news, and we’re here to share it with you in case you missed it! India may get its first green electric highway soon, and here are all the deets!

Electric Highway Between Delhi & Jaipur | Nitin Gadkari has said that India’s first electric highway is likely to come up between Delhi and Jaipur soon, and the centre is already in talks with a foreign firm to seek help to build India's first electric highway, between the 2 cities. Besides the Delhi-Jaipur stretch, talks are also on with a Swedish firm for an electric highway stretch on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

This is a part of India’s aim to bring about green expressways. Out of 22 that were on the anvil, work has already been started on 7. There’s also an aim to transform the public transportation system, & bringing an end to the use of petrol and diesel by using electric vehicles.
