Roll Out The Carpet | This year, as the stars arrived at the MET Gala with a theme to honour the legendary fashion designer Karl Largerfield, they were greeted with a stunning carpet, a creation by none other than Nyette by Extraweave, a Kerala-based luxury design house. Keeping sustainability in mind, the beige colour carpet was produced using Sisal fibres known for being strong, sturdy and durable. The hand-painted, 6950 square metre carpet rolled out over the MET steps was more than just a backdrop for the A-list celebrities, it spoke to India’s rich artistic heritage and has placed Indian craftsmanship under the spotlight of the global fashion stage.
We’re extremely proud and expect to see more of India’s unique artistry and creativity on display at major global events!
