We’ve already told you a lot about Delhi Metro’s latest Pink Line that is stealing our hearts! But what we haven’t told you yet is that INA Metro Station is gonna be an important interchange station when the second section of the Pink Line (Sir Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh - Lajpat Nagar) opens in June.

Here’s What’s Happening | The new INA Metro Station will shrink the distance between West Delhi and Gurgaon, so people coming from places like Rajouri Garden and Punjabi Bagh can change at INA for travelling to Haryana instead of going all the way to Rajiv Chowk. Phew, that’s a relief!

And this new interchange station at INA will be unique for a number of reasons. The platform for the Pink Line station is located 90 degrees above the Yellow Line station. As per DMRC, this is the first time that a platform has been built over the existing tunnel, connecting INA and AIIMS Metro Stations. *Woah!* Also, unlike other metro stations, ticketing at two main entry points - Dilli Haat and Aurobindo Marg, will be at the ground level itself.

DMRC is also developing a green area where people can walk and relax, on the ground level of the metro station. The top of the interchange area is also being developed as an incline so that travellers can get a good view of the areas surrounding the station.

Woah, it looks like DMRC is really on a roll and has some great plans up its sleeve to give INA Metro Station its own unique identity. Can’t wait to head over to this station already!
