In Light Of The National Lockdown, Delhi Govt. Will Give Rs 5,000 To Construction Workers

The 21-day lockdown announced by the PM recently has been hard on the daily wagers. But, the government is doing their best to minimize the impact of this lockdown, they even introduced the world’s largest food scheme in India that’ll benefit nearly 80 crore people. And now, under CM’s latest proposal, Rs 5,000 will be given to each construction worker, and here’s all the info!

Issued In Public Interest | Construction workers’ livelihood has been heavily impacted by the spread of COVID-19, and to help them, Rs 5,000 will be given to each of them as announced by Delhi CM in a recent press conference. Also, the number of night shelters has been increased for the safety of the homeless. Along with this, in case Delhi reaches stage 3 of the Coronavirus pandemic, that is the community transmission, a special 5 member team of experienced doctors have been set up to control the situation.

The CM also asked the public to send those people to the nearest night shelter who are unable to get food due to the lockdown as there is a supply of food at these shelters.
