IGI Airport Will Get Two Approach Roads From South Delhi & Dwarka Expressway In Less Than 3 Years!
Dilliwallas, listen up! Our very own IGI Airport is soon gonna have two approach roads, one from South Delhi and the other from the upcoming Dwarka Expressway in a span of less than 3 years. *Naice!*
Here’re More Deets | The South Delhi approach road will be a 4-lane underground stretch that can be used by people travelling to the airport from IIT, Vasant Kunj, Mehrauli and Munirka. The road will connect the airport to the proposed interchange at Shiv Murti.
The Shiv Murti interchange will have elevated connectivity to Nelson Mandela Road, via Rangpuri. People taking the Dwarka Expressway will soon be able to use this passage to directly reach T3 of the airport and this entire project will be completed in less than a year. Now this is something to look forward to!
The traffic flow to the IGI area is set to increase substantially thanks to Aerocity where many social and official functions are hosted. Also, that's not all - NHAI has more plans up their sleeve. In order to improve connectivity from the new Dwarka Expressway, they’re gonna build a 5 Km road from Bijwasan Railway Station to T3 of IGI Airport.
Once all these plans are executed, travelling to and from the airport is gonna be easy peasy and we JUST can’t wait for that day to come!
