Hydrogen-CNG Buses May Be Introduced In The City Come Next Month To Help Curb Pollution
The pollution levels in the city in 2019 were perhaps at its worst. The days were choked with toxic smog and the nights were no better. But the government is doing to its bit for the environment as we may all see new hydrogen-CNG buses ply on the roads in the city from next month.
For Mother Nature | Compared to CNG, HCNG is a cleaner fuel that will be used to run 50 cluster scheme buses for a trial period of 6 months. This technology will help improve Delhi NCR’s poor air quality and the plant is awaiting approval from the concerned authority. The buses will only require a bit of tuning to run on HCNG.
The efficiency of these buses will be recorded and submitted to the Supreme Court for further assessment. The plant will produce about 4 tonnes of HNCG, the excess fuel that it will be generated will be used to run a generator that would produce electricity.
This is an awesome move for a better and safer environment, what do you guys think?
