History In Motion | In a move to bring Delhi’s rich heritage closer to its people and visitors, the Delhi Government is reviving its local tourist bus service with a fresh twist. Starting around Independence Day, air-conditioned electric DEVI buses will run full-day heritage tours across the capital, covering historic and cultural landmarks including the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Kartavya Path, Prime Ministers’ Museum, National War Memorial, and Lotus Temple. Each 9-metre-long bus, hired from the DTC and equipped to seat 30 people, will feature a dedicated tourist guide on board, offering engaging insights, historical anecdotes, and lesser-known facts and stories behind every stop. It’s a blend of sustainable travel and immersive storytelling designed to make Delhi’s living history more accessible than ever. This initiative isn’t just for tourists, it’s for every local who’s yet to fully explore the city they call home.
All aboard for a front-row seat to the city’s timeless tale? Yes, without a doubt!
