There’s some good news for the homeless in Delhi - in two year’s time from now, Delhi will have four multi storey shelters for you!

Delhi Government's finally got some funding under the National Urban Livelihood Mission, and thus the building of these shelters will start off in full swing now. The new shelters will be in located in Rohini, Dwarka, Nangloi and Geeta Colony.

These shelter homes will have separate rooms for families and one entire floor designated for women. The rest of the shelter will be open for all other homeless people. Good going Delhi!

Delhi at present has 92 permanent shelters and 112 porta cabins that are operational throughout the year. But specifically for winters, they’ve built 57 more temporary shelters around religious places, under flyovers and near construction sites.

Keeping our fingers crossed for all things good!
