If there’s one thing that we love to do on the weekend, it’s to go on spontaneous road trips like driving down to the hills in Uttarakhand! And we just heard that this drive will get a LOT more smooth once this 5.5-km flyover in Pilkhuwa opens up (say whaaa)!

The Drive To Uttarakhand Just Got Easier | The National Highway Authority of India is planning to launch a 5.5-km long flyover in Pilkhuwa on the 21st - 22nd of June, which will help ease the congested NH 9. Once this flyover is up and running, it’ll save about 30 mins. of time for commuters. This is a major move as the stretch witnesses a traffic flow of around 40,000 vehicles in a day (woah)! This means that driving down to the hills in Uttarakhand and Ramnagar, Lukhnow, Bareily & Kanpur in UP just got easier.

Plus, there will soon be another bridge on the Ganga Canal which will reduce the travel time on the 22-km long stretch between Dasna and Hapur to less than 15 mins.! But this might just be a long wait as it’s likely to pop up in 2020.

This upcoming flyover on the Dasna-Hapur Stretch will have 10 lanes while the one that’s being constructed on the Delhi-Dasna Route will have 14 lanes and both of these will feature 6 expressway lanes. Awesome!

Guess it’s time to escape the heat and go for a vacay soon!
