Amidst The Wilderness | The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in UP is stretched across the Lakhimpur Kheri and Bahraich districts and comprises the Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary. This place shares a boundary with Nepal and is known for housing eclectic species like Swamp Deer, Bengal Floricans, Gangetic Dolphins, Hog Deer, Fishing Cats, tigers, alligators and so much more! Oh, and did you know that the park was conceptualised by a royal prince called Arjan Singh, who was once a hunter himself? Yep, it’s true. So yeah, what we’re trying to say is, that this place is teeming with thousands of stories, from different eras, all of which make it worth a visit!

The best time to visit this park is from May to November so once the lockdown is over and things are back to normal, make your plans. June and July can get too hot for tiger safaris, so better avoid those months. And oh, when you’re off on the safari, needless to say, don’t forget to spot the tigers. It is recommended not to wear colours that are too bright as they may distract the animals. And if you’re wondering where to stay in the course of your wildlife adventure, then we might be able to assist you there too!

You need to spare at least two to three days to make the most of this park and we’re sure you travelholics are always ready to go for an extended vacation, aren’t you?
