HarperCollins India Gives Out 'Pawternity Leave' For New Pet Parents & We're So Glad

‘Pawternity Leave’ for pet parents is now an actual real thing! WOAH! Your pets are your family, and just when you adopt them is the time they are in most need of your help, and what’s better than getting sanctioned leave from office to take care of your babies?!

Having an innocent little pup at home is no doubt a big deal, and thus the generous people over at HarperCollins India have decided to give their employees a ‘Pawternity Leave’ if they’ve just adopted a dog, cat or a non-human friend of another kind. Nice! This year onwards, employees will be allowed to take 5-7 paid leaves to take care of and bond with their new furry friend! So cute!

This move has been taken up in order to encourage more pet adoption. Plus, they don’t want their employees to worry about their pets at home as that leads to disruption at work too. Good move HarperCollins, we hope other companies will follow suit!
