Usually associated with early morning runs, marathons are conventionally held pre-noon; it's considered quite bizarre to go for a jog at night but this Saturday, defying all the preconceived notions, Gurugram went for a run post sundown.
The Turnout | Around 1200 people from across NCR gathered and participated in the Gurugram Starry Night marathon organised by Run With Me Foundation.
The Purpose | One of the organisers, Umesh Gupta said that this marathon was conducted at night to send across the message that ‘Gurugram is safe at night too, especially for women’.
A cool way to bring a message home, don’t you think?
