Gurugram, The Millennium City Might Earn The Smart City Tag With A Boost From The Govt.

Gurugram just got a step closer to attaining the tag of a Smart City! Awesome! 

In order to help the city gain the Smart City tag, the Union Ministry of Urban Development has added it to the list of 13 cities who will be given all the technical assistance required by the Centre. This would further enable them to put forward the Smart City proposal. 

The Smart Cities programme is an attempt by the Centre to develop the cities in a manner as to make them more citizen-friendly and sustainable! Should Gurgaon make it to the final list of cities to be given a modern makeover under the ambitious project, the city will be allotted Rs 100 crores annually by the Centre over a period of five years for the makeover. Woah!

Sounds great, time for a revamp Gurugram peeps!
