Bonjour, friends! Are you fascinated by the idea of learning new languages, Indian or foreign? But is the paucity of good, reputed language centers in the city not letting you follow your passion for languages? Then give us a pretty smile, peeps as we’ve come bearing good news!
From Kemon Acho To Bonjour! | In a bid to promote art and culture in the capital, the Delhi Government has decided to set up academies for 15 languages, both Indian and foreign, in the city! And we language enthusiasts are doing a little happy dance right now!
Delhi is a melting pot of cultures, which sees people from all over India and the world residing here, and keeping this in view, the government will set up academies for languages like Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Kannada, Telugu and a host of international languages in a separate academy. Each academy will have artists, language experts, translators and more.
So if you’ve been itching to read Gitanjali in the original Bengali by Rabindranath Tagore, then this is your chance to learn the language and fulfil your wish! The new academies would be set up in line with the existing ones - those being, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and more.
So, fellow Delhizens, gear up as you’ll have a lot of studying to do once these academies are up and functioning. Be ready to greet your friends with a cute ‘Bonjour’ or a sweet ‘Kem Cho’ next time you meet ‘em!
