DelhiGovt. Bans Playing Recorded Songs In Delhi’s Restro Bars Due To Noise Pollution! *Oh Snap*
Delhizens, you might not hear Bollywood or Hollywood tracks or any recorded music at your frequently-haunted restro bars anymore, as the Delhi Government has strictly laid down rules against the same. Confused (and sad)? Read on!
No Recorded Music In Bars?! Why? | Restro bars playing pre-recorded music in their premises will now attract strict penalties from the Delhi Government, which has recently announced that as per 2010 Excise Rules, restaurants serving alcohol are only allowed to play live music in their premises.
The move came after the Delhi Excise Department received a number of complaints from local residents regarding disturbance created by several restro bars. There are an umpteen number of restro bars in the city that play recorded songs to keep their customers entertained and in a party mood, but alas, not any more!
This move is probably going to wreak havoc on Delhi’s already-not-too-stellar nightlife!
