The national capital has seen a downward trend in COVID-19 cases in the past few weeks and this achievement has led the Delhi Disaster Management to give the go-ahead for reopening all public and private schools, colleges and coachings in a phased manner! Read on for details!

Schools To Reopen | The decision has been reaffirmed by the Delhi Government, and all government and private schools can now reopen from 1st September, 2021 in a phased manner. Students of classes 9th to 12th are being allowed to come first and colleges and coaching institutes have also been allowed to resume functionality from that day onwards to reduce the learning loss of the students.

For the students in classes 6th to 8th, schools will reopen a week later, on September 8th. All the institutions will have to follow strict guidelines and COVID-19 protocols and there will be a 50% cap on the number of students attending.

However, this decision has earned mixed reviews from the public with parents fearing for their children since there still isn’t an approved vaccine for children available yet. While the Deputy Chief Minister assures that coming to school will not be compulsory and that a parents consent will be necessary for a student to attend.

What are your thoughts on this decision?
