We Indians are super proud and totally geared up for the upcoming G20 Summit that is going to take place in Delhi. The capital city is all set to host the 18th G20 Summit which will be held at Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition - Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan. The international summit will help build international relations and strengthen economic matters with discussions about global issues. With high-profile delegates from various countries attending the summit, the government has taken up security measures and here’s what all you need to know about it!

Public Service Announcement | The 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi will be held from 9th September to 10th September 2023. The summit will bring together eminent world leaders from across the globe, so you can expect Joe Biden- President of the USA, Rishi Sunak-UK Prime Minister and Xi Jinping- President of China; just to name a few. The Indian government has taken a few measures regarding the safety of the VIP personnel ahead of the summit and has released strict guidelines for the same.

8th and 9th September have been declared public holidays in the Delhi NCT region for government and private offices, organisations, financial and educational institutes. All the commercial places, shops and markets in Central Delhi will be closed from 8th to 10th September 2023. There will be restricted movement of traffic inside NDMC limits from the night of 7th September to 11th September. The security in Delhi will be heightened with National Security Guards and Special Protection Group commandos on guard. Delhi will be a no-fly zone with anti-drone radars and Army snipers positioned across the city for additional security.
