C’mon now, let’s be honest, don’t we all wanna get our hands on the delicious food served at The Lalit? Yes, we do and guess what? Now is the best time to do exactly that because these lovely folks have come up with a brilliant initiative called ‘Chef’s Pop Up’, in order to put their amazing chefs in the limelight. It’s a part of their usual buffet, so it’s like a cherry on top of an already delish cake!

What To Expect

The Lalit, New Delhi brings to you the authentic and rustic cuisine from the historically rich land of Bihar, along with several other Indian and international cuisines. You can grab the opportunity to savour the flavours of quintessential Bihari delicacies till 11th August at their 24/7 Restaurant.

The Person Behind It All

Chef Nandita Karan, the star of the entire Pop Up is the Executive Chef of The Lalit, Chandigarh. She hails from Bihar and is a globetrotter, who specialises in Italian and continental cuisines. Her mantra for delicious food is simple - fresh ingredients, especially green vegetables, that have their own unique flavours and identity. She believes in enhancing the taste of her dishes with minimal spices and herbs.

What’s On The Menu

You’ll be able to taste everything from the signature Litti Chokha complete with yogurt, bharta and papad, to scrumptious Dal Pitha, the famous Bihari rice flour dumplings filled with sweet or savoury lentil filling. You’ll also be able to sample some yummy Khoya Puris and sweets like  Khaja and Parwal Ki Mithai. Apart from the exotic Bihari Pop Up, you can also indulge in Indian delicacies like their much talked about Dal Baluchi and Lal Saag, or grab some French gratin or Italian pizzas. In case you aren’t full already and somehow manage to make your way to the dessert section, be ready to be spoilt for choice. They have everything from hot brownies to Lemon Tarts and French pastries in various flavours!
