Good Riddance! No Gutka or Pan Masala in Delhi For an Entire Year

The Department of Food Safety has issued a strict notification as per which the sale, purchase and even storage of Gutka, Pan Masala, Khaini and Zarda have been banned by Delhi Government for an entire year!

A notification banning Gutka was also issued back in 2012, but vendors found a loophole and started selling its components in different packagings, so the purpose of the ban was defeated.

This time though, the rule is hard and fast where the sale of tobacco or its components in separate packagings is all banned. So if you're trying to find any kind of chewable tobacco products, you're going to be out of luck! We applaud this move by the Govt.
