Hey travelholics! Planning to hit Goa for your next vacay? Well then, this piece of news that we’re about to share will come in handy as you go sightseeing! Read on and spread the word.

No Selfie Zones In Goa?! Oh No! | Taking selfies during a vacation are as important as reading a Harry Potter book before you watch the movie! Yes, now you get the importance, don’t you? But we just heard that Goa has declared 24 ‘no selfie zones’ at its numerous beaches to avoid drowning incidents.

So here are the 24 ‘no selfie zones’ that you should keep in mind during your next trip to Goa. Baga River, Dona Paula Jetty, Sinquerim Fort, Anjuna, Vagator, Morjim, Ashwem, Arambol, Kerim are the places where you cannot take selfies in North Goa. And in the South, you’ll be able to spot ‘no selfie zone’ signs at Agonda, Bogmalo, Hollant, Baina, Japanese Garden, Betul, Canaguinim, Palolem, Khola, Cabo De Rama, Polem, Galgibag, Talpona and Rajbagh.

While we’re pretty sad about this, we also support this move as taking selfies has been a prime cause of accidents, especially at beaches, that have resulted in drowning. So, all you Goa-bound peeps, look out for signages which will feature pictorial instructions, an emergency toll-free number and a list of dos and don'ts while you’re at the beach. Also, if you’re going during the monsoons (June to September), do not venture out into the sea as it may prove risky! You’ll find red flags there, denoting no-swim zones as well.

Let’s all have a safe and happy holiday!
