Just look closely, and ask for things you need even if you think these banjaras won’t be selling the things or designs you’re looking for. You’d be surprised at how much variety this market has in store for you and chances are, they might even have a few things that turn out to be even better than you expect!

This Market Has All The Woodwork You Need!

From four poster beds to fancy shelves, Gurugram’s Banjara Market has it all! Step into this beautiful wooden mess to find tables, chairs, beds, and shelves of all shapes and sizes. So, whatever be your need, this market probably has just the right wooden item for you! We saw some super cute stools one could decorate their gardens, balconies, or drawing rooms with. 

We also chanced upon some great welcome boards that would look pretty cool on our front doors. We were quite impressed to see some really beautifully designed wall hangings too. However, what we loved the most were the wooden frames for mirrors and pictures as their intricate designs just made us want to buy at least a dozen of them!

Some Shopping Tips You Need To Know

Okay so let’s just say that you’d be a complete fool to get out of your swanky SUV and act like you’ve come to a proper market of sorts. If you do this at all, you’ll surely end up spending at least 5 times more than you were supposed to in this market. Another thing you shouldn’t do is believe the price being offered to you. 

Bargain all you can, and it’s never enough. Be prepared to hunt for your favourites though. One needs to spend time here because that’s how you’ll chance upon the lovely treasures this furniture haven has to offer. So, we’re saying, park at a distance, use your bargaining skills and shop like a pro!

For example, we loved this tiny 4-seater dining table that was being sold to us for around Rs 4,500, but when started negotiating, the lovely banjaras came down to as little as 1,800 bucks! Similarly, we tried to buy a set of mugs - 6 for about Rs 500, but when we told them we’ll buy three sets i.e. 18 mugs, we were able to strike a deal for 900 bucks, which came out to Rs 50 a mug! Isn’t that absolutely amazing? So the more you buy here, the lesser you end up paying per piece.
