The Vintage Affaire is an annual mega charity sale of designer ‘vintage’ fashion wear that’s donated by designers - fixed and made perfect for further utilization. It’s one of the biggest fundraisers of the city and donations pour in from friends and family in the form of valuable pieces like clothing, accessories and household goods and the best part - they’ll be made available at damn cheap prices! *YAY*

This is the 3rd edition of The Vintage Affaire (VA3) and it’s all set to take place on this weekend at Select CITYWALK. What makes The Vintage Affaire such a special and much loved event amongst its patrons is their way of supporting noble causes and making a difference in people’s lives and society at large.

The Story | If you missed their last two fundraisers and have been curious about their story, here’s a little insight on The Vintage Affair. The first Vintage Affaire held in 2015 raised funds for The Earth Saviours Foundation (a shelter for the abandoned & elderly) by selling over 7,000 clothing and household items. Vintage Affaire 2 followed suit in 2016 and was a complete sell-out with over 10,000 items sold within 48 hours!! *WOAH* Funds raised were donated to two charities - Dukh Bhanjan Trust and The Earth Saviours Foundation.

Having said that, this is just why you should be a part of it. Get that designer dress and make a difference to many lives, all at the same time! This year the proceeds from the Vintage Affaire sale will support these 3 charities:

Dukh Bhanjan Trust | A medical overflow facility of Safdarjung Hospital that caters to all the medical needs and provides a sheltered environment for those who can’t afford it.

Bouquet Of Sight | Vision care ‘gifting’ is a collaborative effort with Venu Eye Institute where a ‘bouquet’ of Rs 1,500 will gift a cataract operation to a needy person.

Saksham Bal Vikas Sanstha | A non-profit school catering to over 250 children of daily wage earners and other underprivileged families with an aim to provide quality education and vocational training to the students.

The Guardian Angels | This entire cause is supported and powered by The Angels Network. It’s a small Delhi-based group that is run entirely by volunteers. In over 5 years of its existence, they have transformed into a bridge between those who ‘need’ and those who want to ‘give’. They want to make giving a fun and joyful experience by using the skills & resources of each volunteer. Currently, they actively support the cause of children, old age homes and other NGOs. 100% of all funds raised by The Angels Network are donated to charity.

Now this is such a thoughtful initiative and for such noble causes that one cannot help but participate. And all of this at the cost of that piece of designer article you love and want to get your hands on @ dirt cheap prices! Could there be anything better than this?!
