Delhi recently got the tag for the most polluted city in India, and an even more shocking bit is that there's a severe lack of greenery in the city too! Thus the University of Chicago in collaboration with the Delhi Dialogue Commission and Capacloud Technologies have proposed an idea for vertical gardens!

This genius plan includes growing plants wherever there is space - be it on the walls, pillars, or billboards, without the use of soil! Wow! These vertical gardens will also have sensors to monitor pollution and absorb harmful gases like methane and carbon monoxide.

This plan is supposed to help the slums the most, since that’s the area with the most amount of dirt and pollution!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for this idea to get passed!
