6 Dishes Like Dabeli & Nutrela Kulcha Roll To Devour At Popular Nirmal Vada Pav in Paschim Vihar
A modest, unassuming shop that gets immensely crowded after 6 PM with people waiting to devour Dabeli, Pav Bhaji and Rolls etc. known as Nirmal Vada Pav makes authentic Maharashtrian snacks and serves them with a hearty helping of butter. The prices are great for our ever so decreasing pocket money and hence, this place is an adda for the tuition students looking for a place to chill!
The place has stayed in the locality for quite a while now and are loved by people of all ages and rightly so. The ingredients used are of high quality and the prices are similar to any stall you might find around town.
There's a lot of variety for you to choose from including cheese and wheat based vada pavs.
Here's what we devoured at this hotspot:
1. Vada Pav
Their signature offering contains a fried potato patty that is cooked with chickpea batter around it. This patty goes inside a nicely toasted pav which is coated with green pudina chutney on one side and a tangy imli chutney on the other. If you thought this explosion of flavours wasn’t enough, they serve it with pickled green chillies which are surprisingly not that hot! It's impossible to stop at one and the price makes it all the more appealing!
Price | Rs 60 (For 2 Pieces)
2. Dabeli
The idea of this dish is similar to a Vada Pav but it just takes it many notches up with the garnishing and the balance created between the tangy, sweet and spicy flavours. Mashed potatoes on pav bread with layers of namkeen and pomegranate, this is served with an imli chutney and a spicy chutney. The medley of flavours and textures made it our favourite dish.
Price | Rs 60 (For 2 Pieces)

3. Pav Bhaji
Next came this popular street food item which failed to impress us. The bhaji was quite watery and it lacked the flavours that we had experienced with the other dishes and was a tad bit undercooked too. Even the onions served were too pungent and they just destroyed the whole taste altogether.
Price | Rs 60
4. Nutrela Kulcha Roll
Rolls are the staple food for us millennials with our hectic school schedules. They're the perfect dish to grab and go conquer the world. This super economical roll is a win-win with little soya chunks in a spicy masala tadka smeared with creamy mayonnaise - you can't go wrong with it!
Price | Rs 30
5. Veg Cheese Burger
Since all of their offerings have supremely desi undertones, we were surprised to see some videshi stuff on the menu too however it turned out to be a sad choice with no toppings, a boring potato patty and a pudina chutney that made it stand on the verge of being a vada pav and a burger at the same time. We would suggest you to stick with their desi khazanas and let them do what they do best!
Price | Rs 50
6. Paneer Roll
We loved how generous they had been in their prices so far but this roll was so filling that it became a meal in itself. The quantity of paneer is generous and the composition of the roll is good however they don't have the option of an extra tandoori topping to transform the flavours of the roll. Some more sauces and lesser oil can definitely make this another hit from their menu!
Price | Rs 90
If you're done with those western snacks and want to enjoy Mumbai cuisine without the hassle of multiple cancelled trips, this place should be your final destination!
