You might crib about the traffic, you might cry over the crowds but you cannot miss the Durga Puja celebrations at what is known as the mini Bengal of Delhi - CR Park. The massive pandals, vibrant colours, different aromas of delicious food items and the whole festive mood will make you forget what got you cribbing in the beginning. The celebrations here are typically Bengali, full on traditional with ek chalar thakur and sholar kaaj. We mean, if you truly want to experience the fun of Durga Puja in its traditional style then just head to Kalibari. They serve yummy bhog prasad at noon and the grand aarti during the evening is something you just have to experience for yourself!

Also, did you know that it takes almost a month to build the protima that’s put up here? We say you’ve got enough reasons to head there already!

Probably the most happening pandal in Delhi is the Minto Road Puja Samiti. It involves the Bonedi Pujo which includes the grand flower offering ritual, pushpanjali, the dhunuchi naach and what not. The 75-year old pandal should be a must visit on your pandal hunting list!

9. Sunlight Colony Pandal
