For All Ola & Uber Cab Users, From Today You'll Have To Pay Rs 150 MORE From Delhi Airport T1
Passengers leaving from the airport's Terminal 1 in an app based cab is going to become a tad bit expensive now *sigh* - here are the deets.
The airport authorities have decided that they’ll be levying a 150 bucks charge now as entry-fee to all commercial vehicles coming to pick up passengers from the Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 1. And the amount will double up from 150 incase the waiting period increases 8 minutes. Now this sucks big time!
This extra charge won't be charged on taxi-services that have their counters at the airport, including the black & yellow cabs!
Low cost flights like Indigo, Spicejet and GoAir operate from T1 and thus easily 20,000 passengers use this terminal. A major chunk of these passengers use app-based taxi services due to which a lot of discomfort has been experienced by the airport authorities.
Unauthorized parking at the arrival area of Terminal 1 and long waiting time by commercial vehicles is causing a major issue to the airport authorities. Touting has also increased in the passenger area which has caused a lot of serious inconvenience to all.
Time to get back to the ‘Kaali-Peeli’ taxis maybe?
